Karen Wheeler

Karen Wheeler is the Recruitment Manager at EKC Training, where she supports employers and learners across East Kent. She brings over 12 years of experience within the organisation, alongside a strong background in both education and the retail sector.

Karen began her career in retail, spending 15 years as a Retail Manager where she developed a solid foundation in leadership, customer service, and team development. In 2013, she joined EKC as a Development Officer and has since progressed through the organisation, demonstrating commitment, expertise, and a passion for supporting others to succeed.

Now leading recruitment for apprenticeships, Karen has undertaken a CMI Leadership Apprenticeship herself, reinforcing her professional development and leadership capability. She is highly experienced in managing teams and is recognised as an effective and supportive leader.

Karen is passionate about supporting employers and helping learners reach their full potential. She is committed to delivering outstanding customer service and creating opportunities for growth and achievement across the communities she serves.
