Josh told us: “With an Apprenticeship, you learn something new every day, it is a really practical hands-on way of learning. I couldn’t imagine myself sitting behind a desk all day.
“The beauty of an Apprenticeship is that you get paid whilst you are learning. My Apprenticeship has given me the skills I need in the trade as I hope to run my own business in the future.”

Will Bailey
Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprentice | Mag Mechanical Plumbing and Heating
Will works for Mag Mechanical a company based in Essex. They work around the Southeast and in London on both commercial and domestic jobs. He enjoys that he spends the majority of the time learning practically, and likes the fact he has one day per week in College to help solidify the skills he has learnt during the week at work.
Will told us: “There are things you do not learn when on site and College has helped me learn about certain rules and regulations which will help me in my career. I am hoping to stay with my employer after my Apprenticeship finishes with the goal to progress in the business.
“If you want to work in the trades Apprenticeships are the way to learn because you get paid whilst coming to College to learn and then whilst on site you learn how to get over real problems.”
