We welcome our newest staff member to the EKC Plumbing and Electrical Training Centre, Leon Everitt, in our latest staff spotlight.

Leon’s extensive background in plumbing and gas safety make him an excellent addition to the team with a wealth of knowledge to share with our learners.

He began his career as a plumber, working for a heating and ventilation company. When the company was liquidated, Leon took the bold step of starting his own plumbing and gas business. For years, he dedicated himself to providing essential services, focusing primarily on gas checks for landlords and homeowners.

Now, Leon is starting a new role in sharing his knowledge and expertise with the EKC Plumbing and Electrical Training Centre learners. While he plans to keep his business running, he’s excited to take on this new position as a Lecturer.

It’s a big change in work environment and daily tasks, but Leon has already found teaching to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Leon started on the same day as his new cohort of students. With years of industry experience under his belt, he is ready to pass on practical knowledge. He understands the demands of the trade and is passionate about equipping his students with everything they need to succeed.

Looking ahead, Leon aspires to progress within the Centre.

We’re delighted to have Leon on board and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on his students. Welcome to the team, Leon!
