  1. Updating your digital skills

Digital skills are essential in today’s workplace. Throughout the course, you’ll gain confidence using email, Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. These practical skills will help you feel comfortable using the technology commonly found in administration roles.

  1. Improving your writing skills

You’ll practice writing for different audiences, from emailing your manager and communicating with business partners to responding professionally to customer enquiries and complaints.

  1. Mastering time management skills

You’ll learn how to prioritise tasks, manage diaries and appointments, and complete work to deadlines, helping you stay productive in a busy office environment. This will make you an organised and reliable member of any team.

  1. Knowledge of work-related laws and requirements

The course will introduce you to important workplace expectations, including data protection, GDPR, confidentiality and professional conduct. You’ll also learn about the importance of punctuality, reliability and presenting yourself appropriately in the workplace.

  1. Self-confidence

By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have developed new skills, recognised the strengths you already have and gained the confidence to apply for jobs. We’ll support you with CV writing, interview preparation and practical advice to help you take the next step into employment.
