We spoke with Katie, an Adult Training Lecturer at EKC Training Thanet Centre, about how the Centre creates a supportive environment for its learners.
“We have students from the age of 19 all the way through to 65 years old and older. We’re here to support everyone onto the next steps,” commented Katie.
Adult training is about real-life skills, not classroom stress. The goal isn’t to take you “back to school” but to help you move forward.
“It’s not a traditional learning environment. We are here as a hub for adults to upskill, find a different career path and just to build on their confidence as well.”
