Students are settling in at the new, modern EKC Training Dover Centre site on Bench Street. We asked them to share their thoughts on the new centre and what they love about it.
The new centre offers a comfortable learning environment and technology that supports their studies. Students say they are enjoying their learning and are keen to continue their education here.
Ana and Masood have reached Entry Level 2 of their English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course and reflect on the changes they have seen throughout their studies.
Ana said: “I think it’s very good because it’s a new place and it feels safe. We have air conditioning here. It makes a difference.”
The improved facilities have also been welcomed by students, particularly the interactive technology available in classrooms.
Masood said: “This centre has very good facilities. It is much bigger and has everything we need, like TVs and interactive boards. The facilities are very good. You can write on the interactive board, which makes learning easier.”
The new centre is more than just a new building. It is a place where adult students are gaining confidence and developing skills that can support their future goals.
The support provided by lecturers has also played an important role in helping students develop their language skills.
Masood said: “They help me with everything: writing, reading, speaking, listening and grammar. English is difficult, but my teachers are very good and they help me a lot. I’m very happy with their support.”
“I want to take more classes here. I’m also going to study computer skills here. I think it will be difficult, but I want to start and learn.”
EKC Training Dover Centre is providing students with a place where they can continue to build their confidence, improve their English and prepare for their future.
